Vocaloid

Do you love music? Music is one of the most important aspect in human life. Almost all thing we do need music in them, like studying, doing homework or doing dailychores in order not to get bored. The importance of music affects many young people to create a new kind of music, so they can create a unique music. But, many young people must forget their ideas because they can’t make their ideas become real. But now technology has developed. There are so many musical instrument that become more easily to use. There’s a software that can make song without playing or singing it. Vocaloid, a vocal-sythesizer, is a new way to make songs more easily.

Vocaloid is a Vocal synthesizer application software developed by the Yamaha Corporation that enables users to synthesize singing by typing in lyrics and melody. The software synthesizes the voices from "vocal libraries" from recordings of real singers and keep the qualities of the voice to make more realistic voice. The software has easy features like simple commands that enable users to add some effects- such as vibrato and pitch bends - to their synthesized vocals. Additional releases to the vocal libraries will improve the voice and singing style of the VOCALOID. VOCALOID can sing in Japanese and English. Yamaha announced their project in 2003 and on January 15, 2004, Leon and Lola, the first Vocaloid were launched. They were not released as Yamaha’s products, but as Vocaloid Singer Libraries, powered by the Vocaloid software, under license of Yamaha.. In January 2007, Yamaha announced a new version of the software engine, Vocaloid2, with many improvements in usability and synthesis quality.

Vocaloid is released in two different countries and different product, japan and English, and they have their own differences. They have their own characteristic and ability. There are ten vocaloid from japan that Developed by Crypton Future Media, that use Yamaha's Vocaloid2 technology with recorded vocals of voice actors. The First Vocaloid is Meiko (released on October 5, 2004 and using vocal samples from the Japanese singer Meiko Haigo). But, she still use the older Vocaloid engine developed by YAMAHA. Her voice is steady, straightforward, and suitable for any musical genre. She is good at singing pop, rock, jazz, R & B to children's songs. The second Vocaloid Is Kaito (released on February 17, 2006 and sampled from Naoto Fuuga). Same as meiko he still use the older version of vocaloid engine. He is fit to sing anything from hymns and children's songs to R & B and pop, though the style that he is best used for is singing pop ballads. Unfortunately, Crypton media see him as a failure because, just sold 500 packages. The third vocaloid, the most famous vocaloid from japan, is Hatsune Miku and she is the first installment in the Vocaloid2. She is released on August 31, 2007 and sampling the voice of Saki Fujita . She is good at singing J-pop songs commonly heard in anime, but it is possible to create songs from other genres. The Fourth vocaloid is a Twin, named Kagamine Rin and Kagamine Len they were released on December 27, 2007. both sampled from the seiyū Asami Shimoda). They have almost same voice, the differences just rin is a girl when len is a boy.The fifth vocaloid is Megurine Luka that released on January 30th, 2009. Sampled from Yū Asakawa that has "moody yet husky female voice" for the "cool, somewhat mysterious" character. Unlike the other, luka can sing in Japanese and English. From all off the vocaloid, Luka has the most unique voice than the other. The sixth vocaloid is Kamui Gakupo that was released on July 31, 2008. He is sampled by famous singer in japan , Camui Gackt. Gakupo or Gackpoid includes a new program, OPUS Express, for mixing vocal parts with accompaniment and phoneme data. The seventh Vocaloid is Megpoid or Gumi, she was released on June 25, 2009 and Voiced by Megumi Nakajima. The voice range is F2 - A4 and its optimum tempo is 60 - 175BPM.The eight vocaloid is SF-A2 Miki is a Japanese Vocaloid released in December 4, 2009. She is developed by AH Software. She is voiced by Miki Furukawa. The Ninth is Kaii Yuki that released in December 4, 2009. She is developed by AH Software. She is meant to be portrayed as an elementary school student, and her voice is taken from recordings of actual elementary school students. That last installment from Japanese vocaloid id Kiyoteru Hiyama. That was released in December 4, 2009.
There are eight vocaloid from English which is developed by Zero-G. the first English vocaloid is Leon show on the 15th of January, 2004, and was eventually commercialized on the 3rd of March, 2004He is a "virtual male soul vocalist modeled on a real professional singer" and was created for the English speaking community. The second English Vocaloid is Lola. She was released on the 15th of January 2004, and she is commonly used for trance or techno music. The third English vocaloid is Miriam. She was released on the 10th of July, 2004. Her voice is based off the popular British singer, Miriam Stockley, who is also the lead singer of the band, Adiemus. Miriam is commonly used for serious songs. The fourth English Vocaloid is Prima. she was released January 14, 2008. What made Prima different from the Vocaloids before her was that her voice was modeled after a professional soprano opera singer. This means she can hit high notes with accuracy and ease. And though she is meant for opera, with a few adjustments Prima's voice is suitable for pop and R&B. the fifth English Vocaloid is Sweet ann. She s a Vocaloid released by PowerFX. Her name is based on her origins, meaning that Sweet-Ann = Swe-den. She is voiced by "an Australian singer whose artist name is 'Jody'". The sixth English vocaloid is Big-Al. was made on January 21, 2007, but since that time no official release date could be found. Big-Al’s timbre is comparably lower, rougher, and more “manly” than Leon’s. He is voiced by Frank Sanderson, an ex-employee of PowerFX. The seventh English Vocaloid is Sonika. Released on 14th July 2009.Sonika can potentially speak any language due to the fact that her vocal bank is not limited to syllables and phonetics, so she is able to produce any consonant and vowel combination imaginable. The last installment of English vocaloid is Tonio that will release in February 2010. He is modelled on the voice of a professional male opera singer, and powered by Yamaha VOCALOID2 Singing Synthesis Technology. There are some differences between Japanese and English vocaloid. Japanese Vocaloid is developed to sing Japanese music style when English vocaloid can sing in various style like opera, RnB,. And Japanese woman vocaloid is sounded like a young cute girl when the the English woman vocaloid sounded more mature and deeper. Even some of Japanese vocaloid still sound robotic and not realistic enough.

Vocaloid is easy to use with the feature inside. To make the song you just need to enter these lyrics in the Piano-roll note editor, Double click above each note and enter the lyrics by typing in one of the selected words. Make sure to connect the syllables in the lyric text using a hyphen. You can change the order of the words or repeat the same word many times. You can also lengthen one word over several notes. You do this by typing - above the notes that follow the word and / above the last note of the series. Vocaloid has a Play with Synthesis mode that allows the song to start playing instantly within a second of pressing the play button, even on very long sequences. This is because synthesis takes place in the background simultaneously in real time as the sequence is played. Vocaloid also has a Phoneme Edit Window that allows you to change the actual phoneme transformation results. You can reach this window in the Regular Version by just double-clicking on the note that you wish to change. In this window you can also adjust the length of each consonant to produce more realistic results . It takes time to make one song because you must check every notes and play it over and over. But it much easier than making a band and you’ll get a great result.

So, Vocaloid is a useful and unique software that help young people to create a song. It has many features that are easy to use and support to create a good song. It was released in two different countries with different products, japan and English. There are 18 vocaloids in total , ten from japan, eight from English and all of them have their own voice characteristic. To make a song you just have to enter the lyrics to the piano roll note editor, connect the syllables in the lyrics and make sure the song is right by playing it back. So, realize your idea with vocaloid!

Fear of flying

TERNYATA!
yang tadi gw post terjadwal kepost tanggal 10/03/10
ALIAS BESOK!!!
halah mak

btw gw ngepost lirik aja deh :)
lagu yang gw tau dari fajar wkwkwkw

Fear Of fying
a rocket to the moon

I took a picture of a girl I once knew
I kept it here in case I'd run into you
The look on your face could light up a room
But instead you left

And now I'm sitting with my head on the dashboard
Push my seat back and close my eyes
I had this dream that I was on an airplane
Afraid to fly
I tipped my head to the side and I whispered
To this man that was in the aisle
I said "Do you know how long it takes be-fore we die?"
And then I rolled awake

[Chorus]
Can you take me back to the person I used to be?
Back when you were there for me
I know it seems like forever
But do me this favor please
Way back when we were stupid
And held grudges just to help us sleep
Oh my God, how ridiculous were we?

I stop your breathin' everytime I'm around girl
Your body's sweatin' and your hands start to shake
I know you can't control your eyes
But I know that your looks
Are fake

So tease me once and I swear I'll forget
How it feels when you've got nothing left
We'll take it slow and only work at it sometimes
Oh yeah...

[Chorus]
Can you take me back to the person I used to be?
Back when you were there for me
I know it seems like forever
But do me this favor please
Way back when we were stupid
And held grudges just to help us sleep
Oh my God, how ridiculous were we?

Ohhhhhhhh, Ohhhhhhhhhhh
Ohhhhhhhh, Ohhhhhhhhhhh

I took a picture of a girl I once knew
I kept it here in case I'd run into you
The look on your face could light up a room
But instead you left
And oh you left...

[Chorus]
Can you take me back to the person I used to be?
Back when you were there for me
I know it seems like forever
But do me this favor please
Way back when we were stupid
And held grudges just to help us sleep
Oh my God, how ridiculous were we?

Ohhhhhhhh, Ohhhhhhhhhhh
Ohhhhhhhh, Ohhhhhhhhhhh
